Guide — Eid
Eid gifts and gift boxes in Morocco
An Eid gift is a gift box or platter of dates, dried fruit and sweets given for Eid — Eid al-Fitr at the end of Ramadan, or Eid al-Adha. Guermello assembles these boxes in Morocco with the products it has hand-roasted since 1994: Medjool dates, filled dates, almonds, cashews, mixes and chocolate treats.
What to give for Eid?
Dates remain the safe choice — Moroccan Medjool, filled with pistachio or ginger — rounded out with dried fruit and roasted nuts, then chocolate treats and artisan honeys. Presented as a platter or a box, this composition is shared at the table and works as well for someone close as for a business partner.
When Eid means visiting several homes, the mid-size formats (date box, dried fruit platter, bowl assortment) are the most practical: easy to carry and good to present. For a more striking gift, the prestige boxes and large platters stand out.
Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha
Eid al-Fitr closes Ramadan: dates keep their central place, and demand focuses on dates, sweets and boxes to share. Eid al-Adha is more family-focused and more generous: larger boxes, platters and assortments to share between several homes are the most ordered.
Either way the rule is the same: Eid dates follow the lunar calendar and are announced officially, so do not wait for the announcement to order. Two to three days ahead is enough for a box from the catalogue; weeks are needed for a run or a personalised box.
